Blast from the Past: Bern

It has been a while since the last Blast from the Past (a blog series in which I’m reminiscing my past trips and travels). Don’t worry, I did not run out of photographs. There are still some left to share – starting with gorgeous Swiss capital Bern I’ve visited with my friends few years before I moved to Switzerland, on the first day of the year 2009. Stroll through the snowy cobbled streets and squares of Bern’s old town was a lovely way to start a year, wouldn’t you agree?

Blast from the Past: Bern

Today’s Blast from the Past post is taking you to one of my favourite Swiss cities, to Bern. Despite I have visited this city on many occasions, I still like to return. I love its vibe and I can never get bored of its picturesque buildings, medieval arcades, fountains, majestic cathedral and beautiful river. This particular set of photos was taken two years ago in the autumn when my husband (then boyfriend) and I visited Bern Old Town to meet a friend.

Bern on a Sunny Summer Day

Today, I went to Bern, de facto capital of Switzerland, where I had few errands to run. As my visit wasn’t for pleasure, I didn’t have much time to do sightseeing. Though, I still manage to enjoy walking the picturesque streets and stop at one of the parks where I’ve enjoyed the clear views towards the Swiss Alps.
