South-East Asia trip: Overview

On our trip to South-East Asia in autumn 2017 my husband and I visited three countries – Singapore, Cambodia and Thailand. We slept in five different beds, took seven flights, and walked uncountable distances while exploring numerous cities and temples. It was another great trip, full of amazing unforgettable memories.

Itinerary:

Day 1 & 2:

First two days of our trip were dedicated to traveling. Our Singapore Airlines flight took off from Zürich in mid-day. Twelve and half hours later, we arrived to Singapore.

Räbechilbi aka Turnip Festival in Richterswil

Three years ago in November, I attended Räbechilbi, a traditional fall festival in Richterswil, a lovely village on the banks of Lake Zürich.

The festival can be traced back to the early 1920s and is held every second Saturday evening in November. The inhabitants of the village decorate the facades of their houses with turnip lanterns and there is also a parade of different constructions illuminated by hundreds of hollowed turnips.  Continue reading

Luzerner Fest 2015

On Saturday my boyfriend and I attended Luzerner Fest, a summer festival held annually in Luzern. For two days, musicians preformed at different open-air stages around Luzern, there were sports activities at the river Reuss, there were stalls selling food and drinks and a spectacular firework. A perfect excuse for us to meet friends and had fun.
